Dodgers Reliever Ryan Brasier Nearing Return from IL

Strong Rehab Outing Encourages Dodgers

Brasier Impressive in Minor League Stint

Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Ryan Brasier is nearing a return from the injured list after a strong outing in a minor league rehab assignment.

Brasier, who has been sidelined since June 4 with a calf injury, pitched four scoreless innings for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

In his rehab assignment, Brasier has allowed just one hit and two walks while striking out eight batters in seven appearances.

The Dodgers are encouraged by Brasier's progress and could activate him from the IL as early as next week.

Brasier's return would be a significant boost to the Dodgers' bullpen, which has struggled at times this season.

The Dodgers are currently 63-45 and lead the NL West by 8.5 games.

Brasier, 34, has a 3.96 ERA in 34 appearances for the Dodgers this season.
